CATMAP

CATMAP (Captain's Logmap) is the graphical platform for presenting data saved in CATBOOK (user's DX history collection). CATMAP has several data filters for selecting data to be displayed. CATMAP shows the results on the selected map and optionally also as a list (text overlay). CATMAP also supports the playback of audio clips associated to stations and also presenting the results as a "TOUR" where each station is briefly presented and the audio clip played (if associated).

HOW TO

KEY = ALT-M

CATMAP can be triggered from TOOLBAR > MAP SYSTEM or TOPMENU > MAPS or using ALT-M (ALT-M available only if you don't use multiple MESTOR plans - if so ALT-M rotates MESTOR plans instead).

CATMAP can be closed with

- right clicking CATMAP
- rotating the MAP SYSTEMs (TOOLBAR > MAP SYSTEM / ALT-M)
- pressing ESC or W
- clicking TOOLBAR > HOME

CATMAP can be zoomed in/out when the mouse cursor is over the map using the mouse wheel. You can also change frequencies with standard frequency scroll methods.

When CATMAP is opened, playback continues normally but several things are cleared from the screen. This means that you can continue ARCHIVE / LIVE playback while visiting CATMAP. However, if you move mouse cursor over any CATMAP station which has an audio clip associated, the main playback will be paused and the audio clip is played instead. You must manually release the pause whenever you want to continue the main playback.

If you click any station on CATMAP, you'll get CATBOX with detailed information about the selected station.

If you click "SHOW" on the top right corner of the display, you'll get the list of currently selected stations (based on the current data selection filters). You can click any station on the list to show the location on the map. You can scroll the list up/down by moving the mouse cursor over the list and scrolling with the mouse wheel or left/right arrow keys. You can close the list by clicking "X" on the top right corner.

If you click "TOUR" on the top left corner of the display, you'll enter the TOUR mode for the currently selected station set (based on the current data selection filters). The SHOW list can be present at the same time but it does not have to be. In TOUR mode each station is presented one by one and the audio clip associated is played if such has been linked. You can stop the TOUR mode by pressing ESC.

Data filter buttons can be used for restricting number of stations shown on the CATMAP.

The green buttons on the top row "SHOW (ALL) FROM (AREA) ON (FREQ) INCLUDE (ALL)" are the filter buttons. In Jaguar V5 the (AREA) button is available for the US states only, but in the future versions we will add area based filters also to other continents.

You can move the mouse cursor over any filter button and click or scroll (using mouse wheel or left/right arrow keys) to rotate the allowed values:

• SHOW (ALL) > SHOW (WHITE) > SHOW (RED) > SHOW (BLACK) > SHOW (BLUE) > SHOW (GREEN): SHOW stations based on the selected P-TAG - see P-TAGS help for more information.

• FROM (AREA) > FROM (AK) > FROM (AL) > FROM (AR) > FROM (AZ) > ... : SHOW stations located in the selected US state (AREA filter is available for the North America only).

• ON (FREQ) <> ON (MW): SHOW stations on the currently-selected frequency or from the whole MW dial

• INCLUDE (ALL) > INCLUDE (100W+) > INCLUDE (1kW+) > INCLUDE (5kW+) > INCLUDE (10kW+) > INCLUDE (DTIMER): SHOW stations limited by their tx power. The last selection INCLUDE (DTIMER) picks only the stations for which you have given DAYTIMER status on CATBOX.

Individual filter can be cleared by clicking the black button next to it, all filters can be cleared by clicking the black "SHOW"-button.

In the future versions there will be more data selection filters for CATMAP.
