DAYLOG

JAGUAR PRO ONLY

DAYLOG is one of the main logging tools in Jaguar (see more information in LOGGING help). If this function is used, loggings and bookmarks (=UNIDs, interesting spots to be studied later) are saved in a text file called DAY.LOG, each DAY.LOG file is saved in the same day folder where the actual recordings are saved. Jaguar also takes backups of DAY.LOG before changes.

DAY.LOG contents can be shown on every graphics display (except CONDX) as a text overlay on the left edge of the display. The contents can be scrolled up/down, you can quickly jump to any frequency/timespot listed in DAY.LOG and you can also use a handy small editor to change the data for any DAY.LOG row.

HOW TO

You can add a row to DAYLOG with three different ways:

• Logging a station via LOGBOX (more details in LOGBOX help)
• Logging a station via DAYLOGGER (more details in STATION MENU help)
• Adding a bookmark by clicking TOOLBAR > BOOKMARK ("UNID" label is added automatically)

or you can just use the easiest and fastest way:

• Type +xxxx and press enter (replace xxxx with the text you want to add, for example the call sign, slogan you heard, etc.)

You can show the DAY.LOG contents by activating "LOCAL" mode from the DAYLOG button on the SLIDER. By default the setting is OFF, but you can toggle OFF <> LOCAL modes by clicking the DAYLOG button or scrolling with mouse wheel or left/right arrow keys. Note: if you have defined MWLI connection to Jaguar(see MWLI help for details), you'll have also third option ("MWLI") in the rotation of this button: if you select MWLI mode instead of LOCAL, you'll see your loggings sent to MWLI related to the currently-played day.

If you have activated the DAYLOG text overlay display, you can scroll it up/down with the mouse wheel when the mouse cursor is over the DAYLOG area.

If you move the mouse cursor over the HH'MM'SS, you'll see < JUMP > text and you can jump to that frequency/time by a left click.

If you move the mouse cursor over the frequency, you'll see < EDIT > text and you can trigger the DAYLOG editor by a left click.

DAYLOG editor allows you to change the text and/or time (but not the frequency!) and save the changes by clicking SAVE. Alternatively, you can delete the row from DAYLOG by clicking DEL.

You can also edit DAY.LOG files (located in the recording folders) directly using Notepad or any raw text editor, but you must keep the column positions unchanged.
