By default, JAGUAR creates a preview of the
spectrum ("HOMESCAN") on the HOME screen when you tune in to a new frequency.
The default scan interval ("SPEED") is 60 seconds, and the user can customise
this interval between 2 seconds (the best resolution, the slowest speed) and 60
seconds (a sparse resolution, the fastest speed).
HOMESCAN with the default SPEED 60 creates the skeleton of the offsets found on
that frequency. Higher resolutions (lower SPEEDs) can consume a considerable
amount of CPU and I/O resources, but if your use a modern PC this SPEED can be
decreased for better resolution if you like the feature. In the example below
SPEED 30 has been used and HOME display can reveal all the stations (offsets)
on this frequency at the same time when playback of this file is just
beginning.
