JAGUAR PRO ONLY (except [MESTOR])
JAGUAR.INI is the JAGUAR configuration file. It contains several sections, each
section is identified by brackets []. When Jaguar is installed for the first
time, user must define some initial settings to [MESTOR] section before
starting Jaguar. See installation instructions for more information (JAGUAR.INI
template is included in the full installation package).
JAGUAR.INI is located in the Jaguar installation folder. All changes to
JAGUAR.INI must be made using text editor, either with Notepad (or Notepad++)
or in the TEXTPAD editor embedded in Jaguar itself. If you want to change
JAGUAR.INI definitions inside Jaguar, you can type ?? and press ENTER.
Alternatively, you can select "?? - JAGUAR.INI" from the popup menu after
clicking TOOLBAR > INFO.
After saving the changes you must restart Jaguar to make the changes
effective.
HOW TO
JAGUAR.INI can contain the following sections
(Note: [MESTOR] is the only section supported in JAGUAR LITE ):
[MESTOR] - More information in MESTOR help
[CUSTOM] - More information in CUSTOM help
[DIALS] - More information in DIALS help
[ANTENNAS] - More information in ANTENNAS help
[GOKEYS] - More information in GOKEYS help
[FILTERS] - More information in PRESETS help
[LINKS] - User defined internet addresses
The Jaguar WWW window (TOOLBAR > WWW) has a collection of web links (WWW
> MORE) which the user may find useful in MW DXing. The user can also add
links of his/her choice to this MORE menu. This feature is not commonly used
because the WWW window uses Microsoft's Embedded IE Browser technology which
may give nasty popup error messages if the website uses JavaScript (and most
websites use it). But if you know some good sites and want to add them to MORE
menu, you can define them in the [LINKS] section:

SKYWAVES=http://skywavesdx.org/
[JAGNET] - Jaguar network services
The JAGUAR project team has tested several interesting Internet-based remote
services for SDR control and also public broadcast-type services from remote
locations. We have used the SHOUTCAST technology for carrying audio over the
Internet. All tests have been successful but the audio delay using SHOUTCAST is
several seconds so these services are pending at the moment. The code used is
still available and can be re-activated if there will be enough interest in
that area. Meanwhile, currently, all handling of JAGUAR remote setups will be
done via TeamViewer/Chrome RDP/AnyDesk which provide stable, fast and free
platforms also for audio transfer.
At the moment, JAGUAR offers two simple Internet-based services, and those
services can be defined in the [JAGNET] section.
[JAGNET]
JAGUAR=GIFSERVER
If this is set, JAGUAR automatically creates YAS log thumbnails and uploads
them to the JAGUAR server at kapsi.fi. The thumbnails on the server are
refreshed once an hour, and they can be viewed with any browser using this URL:
http://jaguars.kapsi.fi/jagnet/jagthumb_12345678.gif . Replace
“12345678” with your JAGUAR setup key, as shown in the INFO
window.
[JAGNET]
REMOTECLOUD=url
The JAGUAR project offers free disk space for JAGUAR PRO users in the JAGUAR
cloud. This cloud space can be used, for example, for saving audio clips via
CLIPPER (SEND>CLOUD). Users can ask for cloud services from the JAGUAR
development team. In order to use the cloud via JAGUAR, the URL cloud address
must be set in the REMOTECLOUD=url parameter
