JAZZ is probably the best JAGUAR filter in most cases. JAZZ (as any Jaguar filter) can be used in normal filter mode or in STEEP filter mode (see STEEP for more information).

You can use keyboard key F for rotating filters until you get JAZZ displayed on AUDIOBAR.



You can also select JAZZ directly from that button (click/scroll until you get JAZZ) - or you can select it from TOPMENU > FILTERS. Also FILTER applet can be used (click the FILTER name button until you see JAZZ displayed).

JAZZ filter characteristics (BW, OFFSET, STEEP ON/OFF) can be adjusted via FILTER APPLET, AUDIOBAR or AUDIO WINDOW. General information how to tune these can be found in APPLET / AUDIOBAR / AUDIO WINDOW help.

JAZZ's STEEP mode is linked to the defined filter BW (ie. the bandwidth used in STEEP is the same as the defined JAZZ bandwidth). When STEEP is activated (by clicking the green filter area) you'll see the "red fishnet" over the base filter area. JAZZ is especialy designed for wider filter bandwidths but it is also a good general filter in most cases.



STEEP mode cleans up audio frequency areas outside the filter limits more than NORMAL mode, the effect can be seen in AUDIO WINDOW and heard in the headphones. Sometimes you'll get a clear improvement in audio using STEEP mode.
