When you have activated the Perseus hardware
connection and listen to MW real time, your status in Jaguar is LIVE MODE. If
you have already saved recordings, you can quickly toggle between LIVE MODE and
ARCHIVE MODE anytime (you can also jump to ARCHIVE mode and at the same time
leave Perseus recording new files).
When you are in LIVE MODE, you can not only listen to real time situation, but
you can also use max 10 minute buffer which allows you to study TOH
announcements on all frequencies after TOH has passed - still being in LIVE
MODE. So user has plenty of time to decide if he/she wants to keep the
currently running file (REC mode can be triggered ON/OFF any time during that
buffer duration).
New buffer is created automatically after each 10 minutes when using SAMPLING
rate 1600 (after each 8 minutes when using SAMPLING rate 2000). User can also
start a new buffer by making a breakpoint (see BREAKPOINT help for more
details).
Jaguar is the only SDR software available where users can use max 10 minute
buffering.
HOW TO
KEY = L
If you have both Perseus plugged and saved
recordings available, you can toggle between LIVE MODE <> ARCHIVE MODE
pressing L key or clicking TOOLBAR > L.
In LIVE MODE user can jump to new HH'MM'SS (within the current buffer) by
clicking the PLAYBAR. The white triangle shows your playback position within
the buffer. TIMEFLAG (TOOLBAR > SETTINGS > GRAPHICS+ > TIMEFLAG) can
be used to show mouse cursor based time on PLAYBAR as a helper for positioning
the click (TIMEFLAG is a white time flag displayed over AUDIOBAR).
When you move the mouse cursor over the frequency, you can always override the
time scroll mode and change the nominal frequency (based on the current
stepping) using mouse wheel or left/right arrow keys.
