MWLI (www.mwlist.org) is a unique database of
worldwide radio stations on longwave, mediumwave and shortwave. MWLI powers
various things like the mediumwave section of fmscan.org, the mwoffsets file
and an online logbook site. It is a non-commercial and hobby project and open
for everyone to contribute and use.
Jaguar is integrated to several MWLI services:
• Monthly TURTLE database edition is based on MWLI database (we add
important US/CAN information to the basic MWLI data)
• Jaguar contains a direct access from Jaguar to MWLI Visual Logbook
• Jaguar user can add loggings to MWLI Logbook directly from Jaguar
• Jaguar user can add offsets loggings to MWLI mwoffsets file directly
from Jaguar
• Jaguar user can show his daily MWLI loggings in Jaguar as a text overlay
on every Jaguar display
The first two options are available for all Jaguar users, the last three
options are available in Jaguar Pro provided that user has created an MWLI
account for AM.
Below you'll see an example how MWLI Visual Logbook looks like. When triggered
from Jaguar, the map opens up in a standard browser window and it contains
worldwide loggings made on the day currently played in Jaguar. You'll find the
textual logbook when scrolling the browser page down.
HOW TO
Monthly TURTLE database can be downloaded from
the DATABASE BAR (see DATABASE BAR help for more details).
You can trigger the MWLI Visual Logbook from the TOP MENU > MAPS > MWLI
LOGMAP (see TOP MENU help for more details).
JAGUAR PRO ONLY
If you want to send loggings and/or offset loggings to MWLI, you must define
your MWLI account to Jaguar. This is done by adding two rows in JAGUAR.INI's
[CUSTOM] section:
[CUSTOM]
// For logging into MWLI database
EMAIL=your.email@xxxx.com
LOCATION=qth, qthname, latitude, longitude, omid
If you have given these two lines, you can send your loggings to MWLI.
• EMAIL = must contain the email address which you have registered with
MWLI.
• LOCATION= defines your receive location: “qth” is a short
abbreviation (e.g. LEM), “qthname” is the long name (e.g.
Lemmenjoki), latitude and longitude can have decimals (longitudes in the
Western Hemisphere should be expressed as a negative value), and omid is the
numerical value found on your MWLI profile under MWLI's "myAM" properties
tab.
[CUSTOM]
// Example
EMAIL=danny.dxer@gmail.com
LOCATION=LEM, Lemmenjoki, 68.462, 26.19, 1234
If you are unsure of your omid number, you can
check it by signing in to MWLI system (www.mwlist.org), clicking the "myAM" tab
and picking up the number shown below the "myAM" on the details page.
In this example the omid is masked for security reasons.
When you have defined your MWLI credentials to [CUSTOM], you can make a test
logging to MWLI, instructions can be found in the LOGBOX help.
If you like, you can also start contributing the collection of offsets to the
worldwide mwoffset list, more details about this can be also found in thr
LOGBOX help.
If you have defined your MWLI credentials to [CUSTOM], SLIDER > DAYLOG
allows now a third option in addition to the standard LOCAL | OFF options:
MWLI. This can be selected to fetch and show all your personal MWLI loggings
you have made for the date currently played in Jaguar.
