SCOPE
SCOPE offers a handy tool to monitor the
signal power on all MW frequencies at the same time either in LIVE mode or in
any ARCHIVE file. SCOPE can be also used for a direct jump to any desired
frequency.
JAGUAR LITE supports only one SCOPE (on the bottom, "BOTTOM SCOPE"). User can
define if he/she wants to monitor MW10 or MW9 frequencies.
JAGUAR PRO users have also the 2nd SCOPE ("TOP SCOPE") available. Using this
"twin scope" system, user can monitor MW10 frequencies on the other SCOPE and
MW9 frequencies on the other SCOPE at the same time.
In addition, JAGUAR PRO users can define the twin SCOPE system so that while
being in ARCHIVE mode, the BOTTOM SCOPE can show the MW10 dial (or MW9 dial) of
the current ARCHIVE file, but at the same time the TOP SCOPE can monitor the
MW10 dial (or MW9 dial) of the LIVE mode. This mode is called LIVE PEEKER: for
example when user waits for the cx raising on a DXpedition, he/she can
concentrate in ARCHIVE file studies but still monitor the LIVE situation on the
TOP SCOPE without jumping between ARCHIVE <> LIVE all the time.
HOW TO
KEY = S (by default)
(( BOTTOM SCOPE ))
You can use keyboard key S to open/close the bottom SCOPE. You can also reserve
S key for other use (see CUSTOM help), if so you can open/close the bottom
SCOPE only by clicking TOOLBAR > SCOPE. When the bottom SCOPE is active,
TOOLBAR > SCOPE icon is red.
User can toggle between MW9 <> MW10 dial by clicking the "9 / 10 ball" on
the left edge of the SCOPE.
User can jump to any SCOPE frequency by clicking the corresponding bar.
User can increase/decrease the size of the SCOPE window by moving the mouse
cursor over SCOPE area and scrolling with the mouse wheel.
Note that SCOPE uses a "quick'n dirty" MW analysis and there can be frequencies
without signal power (bar) shown even if the frequency itself is open. These
kind of situations happens if there is a strong powerhouse on the nearby
frequency (normally 1kHz apart).
JAGUAR PRO ONLY
(( TOP SCOPE ))
You can use TOP BAR button on the SLIDER to open/close the top SCOPE:
click/scroll the button until you see SCOPE BAR displayed. MW9 <> MW10
toggling and the jump support is the same as in the BOTTOM SCOPE. If the SCOPE
window size is increased/decreased, the changed size is applied to both TOP and
BOTTOM SCOPE windows.
If you are listening to ARCHIVE file and you also have LIVE connection active,
you'll see "LIVEPEEK" text grayed at the right edge of the TOP SCOPE. If you
click that LIVEPEEK, the color turns red and now the TOP SCOPE monitors LIVE
situation instead of ARCHIVE. You can close the LIVEPEEK mode by clicking the X
at that same spot.
