STATION MENU

JAGUAR PRO ONLY

STATION MENU is a small popup menu which offers several station related services. However, if you just want to log some specific station, you don't have to use STATION MENU: logging itself can be done directly by clicking a station on TURTLE or map (see LOGBOX)

STATION MENU menu has the following services:

• (( CLOSE )): Close the Station Menu.

• FLAGGER: Add/change "my own offset" value for this station.

• DAYLOGGER: Log this station to DAYLOG.

• LOCATOR: Open LOCATOR service for this station.

• TOWER: Show the transmitter tower of this station.

• CLIPPER: Make an audio clip containing the name of the selected station.

• MAIL: Create a template-assisted reception report for this station.

• TAGGER: Add/change P-tag for this station.

• POINTER: Select station pointer format for maps ( MINI FLAG | STANDARD | US EXTENDED)

HOW TO

STATION MENU can be triggered by right clicking any station on TURTLE database or map. In addition, this menu can be triggered from the bottom-right corner of LOGBOX.

STATION MENU contains the following functions:

• FLAGGER: Before clicking FLAGGER, you must be tuned to the exact offset of the selected station. Jaguar saves this playback offset to CATBOOK as "my own offset" value (more info in CATBOOK help), after it has been saved this offset can be seen in CATBOX and in MY OFFSET LIST. Also this offset can be seen as a flagpole in FLAGS if you select TOOLBAR > FLAGS > (( MY FLAGS )). Note that FLAGGER does not make a public offset logging to MWLI, this tool saves the offset information just for local use.

• DAYLOGGER: Selected station is saved as a new entry to DAYLOG (and it will be visible immediately on the screen if SLIDER > DAYLOG is activated. Also P-tag is updated in CATBOOK, if the station is not yet tagged there. More information in DAYLOG help

• LOCATOR: LOCATOR service will be opened. More information in LOCATOR help.

• TOWER: Your default browser is launched, showing the satellite view of Google Maps at the station coordinates. The zoom level is usually adequate to spot the transmitter tower itself; if not, you can use the standard Google Maps zooming services. Furthermore, you can go down to the Street View if you like.

• CLIPPER: CLIPPER is started - more information in CLIPPER help.

• MAIL: MAIL creator is started - more information in MAIL help..

• TAGGER: Select the desired colour from the TAGGER submenu. The station's P-tag is updated in CATBOOK correspondingly and the colour on the map/TURTLE is changed too. More information in P-TAG help.

• POINTER: Select the desired presentation format for the station pointer on maps:

---- MINI: Short name/call sign only

---- STANDARD: Full station name, tx power, distance from your QTH and direction from your QTH are shown in addition to the sunrise and sunset times (UTC) at the tx QTH

----- US EXTENDED: Normally STANDARD pointer is used but US stations are shown as a "drone pointer": STANDARD pointer with two additional "wings": local time at tx QTH (internet connection required, this time is based on the time on PLAYBAR) and "FCC time" (="monthly average sunrise/sunset time" used in FCC regulations for the transmitting times and/or day/night tx power/pattern switches).

Tip for NA DXers: if you tick SETTINGS > GRAPHICS+ > STICKY POINTER, you can use a special service related to US EXTENDED pointer. When STICKY POINTER is activated, the station pointer remains visible when you move mouse cursor away from the station. Now if you move mouse cursor over FCC data and click it, you'll get "FCC TABLE" (LSR / LSS times for each month for this station - these times are the official signoff/signon times for daytimers - with some exceptions).
