HOW TO
STATUSBAR is always visible when Jaguar is
active and it contains the following buttons/status texts:
The green service buttons on the left are used to control the automatic
background services. When any of the buttons are clicked on, an additional menu
will be shown and the user can tick/untick the desired services ON and OFF. If
none of the services listed is enabled, the service button is greyed out.
W (Web services) - in V5 SOLAR DATA is the only service in this category.
• SOLAR DATA: If selected, JAGUAR fetches the current space weather data
from the internet, refreshing the data every 15 minutes. This data is shown
next to W button and on the SPACE WX applet (more information in the APPLETS
help).
Y (YAS LOG services)
• YASTHUMBS: If selected, JAGUAR creates/updates the daily thumbnail
images from YASLOGs. The thumbnails ("x.gif") are saved in recording-day
folders, and can be uploaded to our kapsi.fi server. More information in
JAGUAR.INI help (see JAGNET for details).
• YASTRACKER: If selected, JAGUAR collects the listening activity tracking
data, i.e. data on how much the user has listened to each frequency in any
specific HH'MM. The results are shown on the TRACKBAR display (see TRACKBAR
help).
• YASLOGGER: ("always on"), JAGUAR creates/updates YASLOG, one of the main
functions in JAGUAR. More details in YAS LOG help.
S (SCANS, or Automatic scanning services)
See SCANS for more details.
M (MESTOR, or Scheduled recording services)
• MOBILE+: If selected, JAGUAR enters into the "MESTOR+" hibernation mode
in the battery- driven mobile setup.
• MOBILE-: If selected, JAGUAR enters into the "MESTOR-" hibernation mode
in the battery-driven mobile setup where the operating temperature may go below
freezing (zero degrees Celsius). See MESTOR help for more details.
• MESTOR: If selected, all scheduled recording services are in use (the
default). The user can disable MESTOR temporarily, e.g. during DXpeditions when
the conditions are totally off.
STATUS DATA ON THE LEFT
• LO (LO NOISE): Click to toggle LO NOISE ON and OFF. The status colour is
red when enabled. More details cn be found in HI & LO HELP.
• Graphical space wx indicators or WIND (SOLAR WIND value). If W >
SOLAR DATA is enabled (or was enabled during the recording, if ARCHIVE file is
played), by default this status shows the graphical space wx indicators at the
time of the recording. You can toggle between the graphical space wx <>
WIND by clicking the area.
In the graphics mode, the status area shows four space weather values –
Bz, Kyoto (Dst), A & K indices, and Protons – all marked with GREEN /
YELLOW / RED colours, based on their numeric values. If everything is "all

Click to toggle between QSA and RF GAIN value (used in AGC).
• DISK USED %: The usage of the currently-active hard disk.
