XRAY
XRAY is a spectrum display method in which the
system tries to display only continuos peaks and ignore "background spectrum
noise". Also the spectrum tracks are narrower than in the standard spectrum
display methods.
XRAY+ brings this idea further: standard spectrum colours are abandoned and
XRAY+ displays just a red line wherever carrier is detected - and the strongest
carrier at each moment is shown as thicker red line. Using this method it is
easier to see from the spectrum what is the strongest signal offset at each
moment. The strongest signal peak often correlates with audio (but not
necessarily always). However if you see a "bold spot" it is more likely to get
audio out on an interesting offset on that spot than get it out on the narrow
red line.
In addition XRAY+ always makes a prediction of the spectrum based on the
HOMESCAN whenever the playback of an ARCHIVE file is beginning (see more
details in SCANS help).
The previous example looks like this when XRAY+ is used (note: FLAGS are not
available in JAGUAR LITE):
The offset flags can be switched to foreground (and the XRAY+ lines to the
background correspondingly):
XRAY+ is available only on HOME display, XRAY+ will be developed further in
Jaguar V6.
HOW TO
XRAY and XRAY+ modes can be selected on HOME
display via SLIDER > STYLE (click or scroll until you see XRAY or
XRAY+).
Using SLIDER > CONTRAST user can increase/decrease the standard spectrum
shown behind the red carrier lines.
JAGUAR PRO ONLY
FLAGS can be toggled foreground <> background by clicking the star button
on the bottom right corner of the display.
