HOMESCAN

By default, JAGUAR creates a preview of the spectrum ("HOMESCAN") on the HOME screen when you tune in to a new frequency. The default scan interval ("stepping") is 10 seconds, but in JAGUAR PRO, this interval can be customized between 2 seconds (the best resolution, the slowest speed) and 60 seconds (a sparse resolution, the fastest speed).

HOMESCAN with the default stepping of 10 creates the skeleton of the offsets found on that frequency. Higher resolutions (lower steppings) can consume a considerable amount of CPU and I/O resources, but if you use a modern computer, this stepping can be decreased for a better resolution if you like the feature.

HOW TO

HOMESCAN is active by default. You can disable it by clicking the TOOLBAR > HOME icon (when the HOME icon is red, HOMESCAN is active). You can change the stepping for the current session when the HOME icon is red and the mouse is over the icon. Scroll with the mouse wheel or the left/right arrow keys, and the new stepping value is displayed on PLAYBAR ("HOMESCAN STEPPING = xx").

JAGUAR PRO ONLY

You can change the default HOMESCAN stepping value permanently in SETTINGS > SYSTEM > HOMESCAN. The valid values are 2,4,6, ..., 60. The value can be changed by moving the mouse over the CHANGE button and scrolling the mouse wheel (or pressing the left/right arrow keys). Also the mouse left-click/right-click can be used to increase/decrease the stepping value.
