LOG PROFILES

JAGUAR PRO ONLY

Typically, JAGUAR users have only one "logging identity" but several "log profiles" are supported for generating loggings for different publications or locations with different formats.

HOW TO

KEY = ALT-L

ALT-L can be used to rotate/change the currently active log profiles. LOGPROFILE can be changed also in LOGBOX.

Creating LOG PROFILES

You can have a maximum of 3 LOGPROFILEs. In addition, the PLUGIN parameter LOG_PROFILES=YES is required (see SETTINGS > PLUGINS).

In earlier JAGUAR versions, the log profiles were defined as CUSTOM parameters. These parameters are now set in a separate LOG_PROFILES.txt file. This file must be created manually into the JAGUAR installation folder.

Each LOGPROFILE is identified by a number between 1 and 3. For each profile, you can give an independent, customized logging output format (LOGMODE1 -> LOGMODE3), clip folder location (CLIPFOLDER1 -> CLIPFOLDER3) and MWLI logging location (LOCATION1 -> LOCATION3).

If you want to have the log profile name as part of the clip name, it can be embedded there via the #LPRF parameter (see SETTINGS > CLIPPER > CLIPNAME for details).

Below there is an example where the user has three receive locations and wants to control his/her loggings/clips based on the current receive location. In this example, the logging output format remains the same (except the receive location string embedded in the logging) but in reality both these formats can be different in all the profiles. The valid customization parameters for LOGMODE are described in SETTINGS > LOGGING.

If there is no need to use log-profile-specific locations for audio clips, the CLIPFOLDER rows can be omitted.

The LOCATION rows can also be omitted. These rows are required only if you want to submit loggings to MWLI from different locations. For MWLI, you need to give your email address in SETTINGS > MWLI > EMAIL. In addition, you can define several locations with their own OMID numbers.

The parameters in the LOCATION row are: QTH abbreviation, location name, latitude, longitude, OMID.

Example of the LOG_PROFILES.txt file:

LOGPROFILE1=A-QTH
LOGPROFILE2=B-QTH
LOGPROFILE3=REMOTE-QTH
LOGMODE1=#FREQ;#OFFS;#HHHH#MINS-;#DDDD/#MMMM/#YYYY;#ZONE;#ITUC; ;#NAME-#COMM;#SINP;A-QTH
LOGMODE2=#FREQ;#OFFS;#HHHH#MINS-;#DDDD/#MMMM/#YYYY;#ZONE;#ITUC; ;#NAME-#COMM;#SINP;B-QTH
LOGMODE3=#FREQ;#OFFS;#HHHH#MINS-;#DDDD/#MMMM/#YYYY;#ZONE;#ITUC; ;#NAME-#COMM;#SINP;REMOTE-QTH
CLIPFOLDER1=F:\Radio Clips\A-QTH
CLIPFOLDER2=F:\Radio Clips\B-QTH
CLIPFOLDER3=F:\Radio Clips\REMOTE-QTH
LOCATION1=AAA, A-QTH, 68.6388, 25.5985, 123
LOCATION2=BBB, B-QTH, 60,1998,24.3367, 456
LOCATION3=CCC, REMOTE-QTH, 67.9761, 28.9254, 789

Note that the use of LOG PROFILEs do not require several receive locations. The receive location itself can be the same all the time but the profiles can be created, based on any other need as well.
