SCOPE

SCOPE is a convenient tool to monitor the signal strengths on all MW frequencies at the same time, either in the LIVE mode or in any ARCHIVE file. SCOPE can be also used for a direct jump to any desired frequency.

JAGUAR LITE supports only one SCOPE (on the bottom, "BOTTOM SCOPE"). You can define if you want to monitor MW10 or MW9 frequencies.

JAGUAR PRO has also a second SCOPE ("TOP SCOPE") available. Using the "twin scope" system, you can monitor the MW10 frequencies on the other SCOPE and the MW9 frequencies on the other SCOPE at the same time.

In addition, a twin SCOPE can be defined in JAGUAR PRO so that while being in the ARCHIVE mode, the BOTTOM SCOPE can show the MW10 dial (or the MW9 dial) of the current ARCHIVE file, but at the same time the TOP SCOPE can monitor the MW10 dial (or the MW9 dial) in the LIVE mode. This mode is called LIVE PEEKER: for example, while waiting for the conditions to improve during a DXpedition, you can focus on studying your ARCHIVE files but still monitor the LIVE band in the TOP SCOPE without jumping between ARCHIVE <> LIVE all the time.

HOW TO

The BOTTOM SCOPE is always enabled by default.

(( BOTTOM SCOPE ))

You can toggle the MW9 and MW10 frequencies by clicking the "9 / 10 ball" on the left edge of SCOPE. JAGUAR PRO ONLY: If you do not need the BOTTOM SCOPE, you can hide it via SETTINGS > GRAPHICS > BOTTOM_SCOPE > NO (see GUIDE > SETTINGS).

You can jump to any SCOPE frequency by clicking the corresponding bar.

Note that SCOPE uses a "quick'n'dirty" MW analysis, and there can be frequencies without signal power (bar) shown even if the frequency itself is open. These kind of situations happen if there is a strong powerhouse on a nearby frequency (normally 1 kHz away).

JAGUAR PRO ONLY

(( TOP SCOPE ))

You can use the TOP BAR button on SLIDER to open/close TOP SCOPE: click/scroll the button until you see SCOPE BAR displayed. Toggling MW9 and MW10 is available by clicking the "9 / 10 ball" on the left.

If you are listening to ARCHIVE files and also have the LIVE connection active, you will see the "LIVEPEEK" text grayed out at the right edge of TOP SCOPE. If you click that LIVEPEEK, the color turns to red, and now TOP SCOPE monitors the LIVE band instead of ARCHIVE. You can close the LIVEPEEK mode by clicking the X at that same spot.

Note that the LIVEPEEK feature is not available if "MINI-YAS" is used as the SCOPE mode. You can toggle the standard SCOPE mode and the MINI-YAS mode by pressing ALT-Y.
