The WORKSET window is used to define the basic settings for your recording setup, i.e. the environment for manual and scheduled recording:
On the conceptual level, WORKSET covers all the parameters defined in the left panel of the SETTINGS dashboard. These parameters can be regarded as "server profiles" and all the left-panel parameters are saved in WORKSET1.txt, WORKSET2.txt, WORKSET3.txt, etc. files. You can create worksets based on any need you have (for separate PCs, separate DXpeditions, separate QTHs, separate continents, etc). These WORKSETs can be also moved from one PC to another.
You can activate any WORKSET from your WORKSET pool via INFOBOX > WORKSET > CHANGE.
You can open/close the WORKSET window by clicking STATUSBAR > W. The gray CHANGE buttons on the right edge of the window can be used for changes:
WORKSET_NAME: Clicking CHANGE prompts a popup menu with the following options:
BANDWIDTH: Only 2 MHz and 1.6 MHz are supported (1.6 MHz available only in JAGUAR PRO)
CENTER_FQ: The defaults suggested by the system can be accepted unless you have a specific reason for changing it
REC_DISK1: The given disk (and the recording folder, if also a folder is given) must exist in the PC setup.
REC_DISK2: The given disk (and the recording folder, if also a folder is given) must exist in the PC setup.
LOCATION: Three parameters must be given: QTH name, latitude, longitude
VFO_FREQS: Add the list of your "favorite frequencies" here, separated by a comma.
DEF_ANTENNA: N/A or the antenna name for the "Default WORKSET antenna".
This definition can be added if ANTENNAS have been defined (the antenna name given here must be found in ANTENNAS). This antenna definition is used only when you change the active workset (either manually or scheduled).
Note that normally there is no need to define anything here: antenna changes within the current workset can be controlled using the standard manual/scheduled antenna switches, and even if this DEF_ANTENNA has been defined, JAGUAR will keep the last used antenna activated after any restart (DEF_ANTENNA is ignored). A WORKSET change is the only case when the DEF_ANTENNA will be activated by JAGUAR.
